SUSI offers funding to eligible students in approved full-time courses at PLC. All types of students, from school leavers to mature students returning to education can apply for funding.

VTOS
Dungarvan College has a limited amount of VTOS places on all our courses. Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) training program provides courses for persons who are unemployed or returning to education. The program aims to improve the general level of education and skills of participants and prepare them for employment, self-employment, or further education and training. VTOS allows successful applicants to keep their social welfare allowances while attending a full-time course in the college.
To be eligible for VTOS, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be over 21 years of age.
- Be unemployed and have been getting certain social welfare payments for at least 6 months.
You can apply for VTOS if you meet the eligibility criteria. You may keep your social welfare payment or get a VTOS Allowance. Waterford Area Partnership (WAP)
WAP provides supports to help eligible individuals to achieve their learning goals, whether you are a taking that first step into further and community education or want to find out what learning opportunities are available to you. Waterford Area Partnership may be able to help students with financial supports to attend PLC Courses to help you on your career path, preparation for college workshops, English language programmes, information, advice and support. BTEA
You must be at least 21 years of age to get Back to Education Allowance. If you are unemployed, parenting alone or have a disability and are getting certain payments from the department, you may get a Back to Education Allowance. Click here to find out more.
