The school is open to all applicants, subject to the school being able to meet the student’s educational needs.
The usual date of commencement for new students is the first day of the school year. No students shall be accepted after 30th September unless in exceptional circumstances. On application, students are requested to take a short assessment, after which parents and student can discuss subject and course options. Students are required to supply any educational assessments available.
Enrolment can be deferred at the discretion of the school until assessments and reports have been received. In accordance with the requirements of the Education (Welfare) Act, the Principal shall seek reports on attendance and educational progress from the last school attended.

This is an application form for admission and does not constitute an offer of a place, implied or otherwise. Use of the word 'student' throughout this Application Form does not imply that the person on whose behalf this application is being made is regarded as having been accepted as a student of Dungarvan College – Coláiste Dhún Garbhán.
